In collaboration with Maben Group, QIC has broken ground at the new 12,000sqm office development, 5 Bond Street, as part of its commitment to the long-term vision of establishing a base for modern business in the heart of Ringwood.

Conveniently located mere steps from Eastland, the new business destination enjoys doorstep access to the essential lifestyle services, dining experiences and retail amenities on offer at Maroondah’s largest shopping centre. In joining the adjacent Department of Transport’s new office and VicRoads’ Customer Service Hub, and the state-of-the-art Waterman Business Centre facility located on level three of Eastland, the new Fender Katsalidis-designed building is the latest milestone in QIC’s plan of establishing a continuum of workplace solutions in Melbourne’s east.

“By adding another tier of workspace solutions to this highly visible and easily accessed suburban location we can help more people to work closer to home. Ringwood is poised to become a vibrant centre for employment and entrepreneurialism as the community of SMEs and public service organisations based at Eastland swells." said Daryl Stubbings, Director – Australian Investment Management at QIC.

Delivering CBD-standard amenities, the all-electric commercial building overlooks the international award-winning civic and hospitality precinct known as Ringwood Town Square, which QIC developed in 2016 around the architectural centrepiece of the council-owned Realm library.

"We look forward to supporting business growth in Ringwood through the creation of new office accommodation at 5 Bond Street” - Daryl Stubbings

Eastern Health, a leading specialist provider of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, will be housed across the ground floor and levels 5 and 6. By adding new office and health services to the Eastland site, QIC continues to progress its long-held vision for Ringwood’s commercial and civic reinvigoration; a vision cultivated with local and state government partners over several years.

Positioned in one of Victoria’s strongest growth corridors, the office spans six levels and offers bespoke fit-out options, four levels of secure parking and future-ready sustainable design features contributing to 6-star NABERS and 5 Green Star ratings. Situated only 300 metres to the major Ringwood bus and train interchange, and only 23km from Melbourne CBD, 5 Bond Street provides reduced commute times and outstanding connectivity for residents of the outer-east and professionals doing business in the city.
